SUNNI The Islamic Society of Berks County (ISBC) is organized mainly to propagate the deen (religion) of Islam although other activities may include charitable, educational and scientific functions as defined within the meaning of Section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
The organization has been registered with the state of Pennsylvania as well as the Internal Revenue Service, and any and all contributions to ISBC is tax deductible. Tax id will be provided upon request.
The organization is at a grass-root level right now and all faithful adherents are encouraged to donate generously to the establishment of its first Mesjid) place of worship.) Contribution to a venture such as this one is one of the best a Muslim can do to assure his reward from his creator even after his death. Our prophet (peace be upon him) is reported to have said that anyone who builds a Mesjid even as small as a bird?s nest for the sake of Allah, will be rewarded with a mansion in paradise. Among other things, the corporation shall engage in the propagation of the message of Islam through lectures, seminars, and other lawful means geared towards the enhancement of the understanding of all peoples ? Muslims and non-Muslims -- of the true teachings of the Holy Qur?an and the sayings and traditions of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). ()
