★★★ This is a predominantly Somali mosque. The women's section for the moqsue is half of the basement, separated by a curtain. The wudu area and restroom for both men and women are located in the basement. The other half of the basement serves to accommodate the overflow of men from upstairs for jum'a prayers. Men and women put their shoes together on the same shoe rack, which can make leaving after prayer time awkward for women who feel obliged to wait for the men not only while they are leaving the basement but also while they chat by the shoe racks. It would be easier to have separate shoe racks for women closer to the door so they may bypass the men and leave without mixing with them or having to wait longer for them. I would not suggest attending this jum'a service if you are a woman on a tight time schedule.
